Tip of the Week: “Ohio Good Funds Law”

Hi this is Daniela Adams with PM Title and this is your Tip of the Week. This week we are going to talk about the “Ohio Good Funds Law” that becomes effective on April 6th, 2017. Moving forward, all funds that will be brought to closing, by either buyer or seller, will need to be in the form of a wire. No longer will we accept cashier’s checks, personal checks, or cash. Your buyer or seller will need to contact us at 614-991-0827 to obtain a copy of our wiring instructions. They will need to start this process at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance before their closing, because this process does take multiple steps when they are going to go wire funds to a title company.
