Tip of The Week: The Importance of knowing your deed type

Hi, this is Daniela Adams with PM Title with your Tip of the Week. Do you own a property? Do you know if the deed is in survivorship or transfer on death? This is very important, why? Because if you, your spouse, or the individual you hold title with is under contract, happens to pass away you need to know if that deed is in survivorship or transfer on death. If it is not, this could cause a delay in closing because then the property would have to go through probate. Once again, this could cause a delay in closing or no closing at all.
